The desire for bottomless pits of the riches in the world turns a blind eye on poverty
The desire for greener pastures turns a blind eye on barren lands left behind
The desire for unbounded power turns a blind eye on all the destruction caused
The desire for lust turns a blind eye on what once was termed love
The desire for success has left individuals drift away from what was once family
The desire for attaining spiritual elevation has lead to the human cosmos wander away from experiencing nirvana
Human desires are limitless and things we see around us would broadly fit any of these
These desires have messed up this world because no one ever derives satisfaction and content
The longer this takes the mess will pile up but
Everyone is BLIND
So who's gonna clear the MESS.

There comes a time when your eyes open and you see through the fallacies of humankind.
And then, from that moment onwards, you clean up the mess. :)
Yep Utham! We've discussed this:)
All of us need to cleanse ourselves ?...And we will be forced to at some point!!! Then the Mess will be no longer messy! I assume
Jiddu's philosophy has always been one of the philosophical pillars of my thinking (not that I'm particularly other-wordly) and every time I ponder such things I try and dip into JK's writings to see what his thoughts on the subject are. He's pretty spot on, most of the time.
"By its very nature, desire brings about contradiction and conflict. Desire is energy, and it has to be understood; it cannot merely be suppressed, or made to conform. Any effort to coerce or discipline desire makes for conflict, which brings with it insensitivity. All the intricate ways of desire must be known and understood. You cannot be taught and you cannot learn the ways of desire. To understand desire is to be choicelessly aware of its movements. If you destroy desire, you destroy sensitivity, as well as the intensity that is essential for the understanding of truth."

The problem comes when so many different forms of desire-related fallacies are brought out into the open. People try to shrug it off. So, guess we should take each point by the horn and see what we can contribute to bring about the desired change....After all, little drops of water, make a mighty ocean. Right?
