The London Experience

Frozen memories being rekindled
Nostalgic moments brought pictures to life

The time with Ateet in the past couple of days made me feel this way. Really how one comes of age with years gone by.

Pub hopping
The Bus tour
Random Walks
River Cruise
Climb a hill to the GMT
The Spirit over powering the chill factor
Lip smacking dinner at Busaba Eathai
Highlight of the tour "We Will Rock You" what a performance and a wonderful inception to the concept of musicals.

Certainly was rocked by the performance so lets ROCK this coming year :)

Forgotten Words

Some changing trends in this generation is leading to overcoming the importance laid on some words of wisdom and value of the previous generation.

Words such as

Sacrifice
Compromise
Humanity
Responsibility
Respect
Values

The list could go on but these few are the most important to me and i definitely am saddened by the changing trends and don't tend to see these generally in most who belong to this generation.
Only time will tell the loss of the importance laid on these words.

The WALL

Through every phase of life you may hit the wall
Everyone faces it, no one could be an exception to it
Does one be Patient and hope the wall is broken?
Does one push forth to bring it down by themselves?
Does one have to run back and look for another avenue?
You are being watched for your actions
You may carry out the task by your conscience
Is this RIGHT or WRONG?
Can your actions ever be justified?
Your expectations are quite often on the other bank
But you always have got to try to get there
ALONE or with a convoy

Think before acting on the wall you have hit

Mangi Connection

Childhood comradeship has created some of the best memories
First infatuation had driven me to some cuckoo moments
Times of admiration to times of affliction and now when the past is extenuated
Found peace in a universal life force
Dumbfounding instances to cracking me up for the silliest things
Enlightening me with the eminence of life and our accountability to society

LOST

Just because I'm losing
Doesn't mean I'm lost
Doesn't mean I'll stop
Doesn't mean I'm in a cross

Just because I'm hurting
Doesn't mean I'm hurt
Doesn't mean I didn't get what I deserve
No better and no worse

I just got lost
Every river that I've tried to cross
And every door I ever tried was locked
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the shine wears off...

You might be a big fish
In a little pond
Doesn't mean you've won
'Cause along may come
A bigger one

And you'll be lost
Every river that you try to cross
Every gun you ever held went off
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the firing stops
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the shine wears off
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the shine wears off
Ooh-Oh, And I'm just waiting till the shine wears off...

Stop TALKING and act NOW!!!

As much as i believe in staying calm
As much as i believe in giving time
As much as i believe things will change
As much as i believe in giving a chance to individuals
As much as i believe everyone takes pride in their country
As much as i believe one wants to do things for change

I always believe your actions will speak louder than words
If you cant act then stop your nonsensical blabber
Time to see your Faff turned into some action
Until then your words are worthless and pointless
I give a damn about it

Time all our politicians acted on their wonderful speeches they give :(
You have the power, its time you used it productively
WE all have to contribute but they have to lead by example
The TIME is NOW

Systems: Good or Bad?

Over the years almost everything has transformed into a system. There is a sense of over reliance on them. I just don't mean the IT systems here. Everyone may argue that it brings in a sense of functioning and brings order to the surroundings. The truth is things are this way and i personally believe everything requires a system.

Some personal observation as the reliance on such systems are increasing i feel that individuals are losing one of their most important facets "Common Sense". They become dysfunctional and i wonder what would happen when there is a day when some of the systems fail us. Would there be the ability to maintain the order that is being maintained at the current level? I really doubt it.

Is there an alternative that you can think of? Is there more one can do?

HIDE n SEEK

I feel like I'm the one blindfolded now
This darkness introducing me to new things in the search
But still the time hasn't come to unfold

The game gets even more interesting
I really ain't sure what is it that will show me light
Play on, I'm enjoying every bit of it - being the seeker

??

Sometimes you tread the path like a soldier
Braving the shots thrown at you
At times you tread the path of a doctor
Your strength overpowering your emotions

The sight of the strongest bridge falling like a stack of cards
May lead you to find new ways
The climb may seem steep
Your vision must lead you to the top

Don't lose sight of the ground when you head to the top and take as many as you can for the betterment of our surroundings.

RACISM?

Quite often the grass seems to be greener in the US for the common man in India. The belief that there are more opportunities, the probability of earning more money or the notion of living a better life seems stronger among the mass population. This probably is true to a large extent.

The idea of anyone heading to the UK is quite often looked down upon and people generally tend to raise the question of why don't you go to the US? The most common fear that makes them take a step back to come here is probably experiencing racist slurs and tend to brand the nation on that basis. The history definitely has been bitter but "I" as an individual wish the past is put behind for a better future.

Personally i believe we have to look within before we tend to make such comments about others. Indians are as much guilty being racists as probably others you may find around the world.

- The strong caste sentiments isn't that being racist?
- In times of arranged marriages the skin color of individuals that families tend to look for isn't that being racist?
- Branding individuals to a particular TYPE in different nations isn't that being racist?

We are racists and we all are definitely guilty of it. Before we wish to comment on others, i think we should change. I refer to 'we' as all Indians here but as much as i wish for this change this is gonna take many decades for it to blow by.

Time we lived as "global" citizens rather than just "national" citizens.

NEED FOR SPACE

Something that's being so often used by almost everyone but what I don't get is:

When you see organizations pushing individuals to the limit making them overcome things they could probably do with some balance to their work life, the same individuals wouldn't fight for their SPACE. They give it another term saying it's their ambitious nature that drives them.

The same individuals you put them into the personal space, say it a relationship or family they will not drive themselves to do the same bit in such circumstances. I'm quite sure there are enough things to do and handle at home but does one drive themselves to do their bit for the HOME??

or other individuals who are more part of their life??

I doubt it in most cases.

So what is the determining factor between the professional life and personal life of an individual,

Why isn't there the same "NEED FOR SPACE" in both aspects of LIFE??

GARUUDMAACHI

Garuud means eagles and
Maachi means flat land

Destined for three days of what was referred to as "Outbound Training" i least expected anything to what i had experienced over those days. Walking out of the gates of the organization after a long day of training the expression on most of us were like "Why the hell are we doing this on the weekend". The bumpy ride took a toll where i was lead to answer nature's call half way through. On reaching the place there certainly was a pleasant feeling and to some degree the WOW factor. Since all of us were tired that night we were let off and crashed after dinner with some chit chatting till midnight in our tents.
The next morning it was rise and shine for all of us really early on. Half past six had some masala chai and the view behind the tents and in front of it were enchanting and trully spectacular. At 7 we had to do some workout and had some breakfast before we all got started on the activities. The very first activity was the "Ring Activity" where v were asked about how much time we would take to pass the ring around the circle without the chain being broken. We estimated a time of 15 min but we did it in 2 min or so. It was great fun and we challenged ourselves more to do it better and this time we took just 30 seconds and really did we all feel good about it. Each activity was given some analysis and some food for thought. Official welcome to Garuudmaachi was given to us by Prem ( faciliator of the program ) and Bipin too. After lunch and getting some rest we headed for a trek that was to last for a couple of hours and were supposed to return by sunset.

On the trek up some of the sights were just breathtaking and the fun that we had on the whole 5-6 km trek was just too good. Divakar our guide in the trek had such an amazing sense of humour and nandini one of the colleagues seemed to be the joke at most instances. Half way through the trek we stopped for some water and apples for some energy. The whole trek we were being lead by a playful doggie which we named "Rani". The way down seemed tougher than the way up. The delays in waiting for people to catch up the whole trek, the time spent to see the crab or the snake all were leading us to trek down in the dark. At one point when chirag asked for some chai to everyone s surprise from the opposite direction two comrades from the base camp were trekking up to serve us some chai. The stop for Chai was just amazing - the sight, the clouds, the rain, the 124 year old electric post all have created a picture never to forget. Reached the camp in time for dinner with all of us drenched and stinking to the core. Rajat hadnt accompanied us because of his dislocation but he made such fantastic dinner for us while we were all away. Som because of his slip disk assisted rajat and stayed away from trekking with us.

The following day was a day filled with team activities each which required different strategies to complete the tasks. The tasks thrown at us to complete in 2 hours "A-frame", "Crocodile river crossing", "Delivery" and "Dropping the Ball". As easy it may have all seemed we were all in for a surprise to the difficulties one could face. These activities however taught me the importance of Co-operation, co-ordination, leadership, importance of timely handling of chaos, patience, persistence and more so on an individual level to believe a bit more in myself. Except for the second task the rest were never finished and how easily frustration levels can conquer one to bring out subtle anger levels within each one. There was a lot of retrospection that each of us carried out after these activities and highlighted the holes to each other. Prem too brought in these points and made us relate these activities to work or life in general. That evening we were treated to some more adventure this time in the form of sport. After some theoretical training on rappling i was first to go and boy did i feel like a pro doing it. Couple of hours of rappling and the long stressful team activities didnt kill anyone s energy late into the evening and we wanted one last event for the day. The facilitators obliged and arranged a "Night treasure hunt" in the woods with just a stick, a torch and a compass to help us through the hunt. Though we were split into two teams at the end of it each of us were dependant on each other to finish it. The treasure was souvenior "T-shirts" for the whole troop.

The final day started with a small walk to the other quarters and the views from there. I'm trully amazed with some of the sights and perplexed why they are never marketed for tourism of "Impeccable India". The last activity of this outbound training was "Blindfold" where we needed to all form a square being what as the name of the game suggests with each of us connected by a rope. The activity started out in a chaotic manner and some order was set in early on but we were almost there to completing it but not there just yet.

The best part of the trip was about introspection where each one had to speak about what they felt were the positives and negatives of each other in the group. The facilitators provided some valuable insights which i shall look think about for sure.

Trully a wonderful experience will go a long way in developing me further without a doubt. Moments to cherish for life. As the name of the place suggests the eagles eye is very powerful and that eye provided some sight not just on others but more so to look carefully within me. Whatever it is, however things turn out to be, wherever you fly dont lose sight of the land because thats where you belong so keep your feet on it at the end of the day.

PATH AHEAD.....

Enduring the heat at sea level
You have got to learn how to stay chill
Uncertain challenges posed in the winding woods
You would have to brave all the shit and contribute too

Stimulating forces driving you to run through the hazy conditions
Clarity will be derived with some persistence
The Distant peak would be a journey to explore
So explore it

CHOICE vs FORCE

LIFE
LOVE
FAMILY
FRIENDS
WORK
RELATIONS
SOCIETY
NATION

Everything encompassing these would be done by choice or force without a doubt

Is the Choice good or bad?

Will Force work for the betterment or destruction of the cause?

Quite often all of us are in this situation everyday where you feel your being forced into something and have no choice or you have a choice but your forcing yourself towards something.

What do we do? How do we go about it? Why should we do it? Definitely these questions are bound to run through your mind but in search for answers you are quite often lost.

One possible way to overcome such perplex situations in life is to put yourself into different shoes for every demanding situation and when sense prevails be it force or choice the decision you make will hopefully give you the feeling of being content and derive satisfaction from it.Remember when greed creeps into such situations its your self destructor so find the right Balance.

Trivial Characteristics?

It probably is an ardous task in treading this treacherous path

The need of the hour is TRUST

You may hang by the Cliff and your arms are giving way

The need of the hour is DETERMINATION

You may find yourself swimming in the middle of the sea

The need of the hour is HOPE

You may be stabbed from the back

The need of the hour is COURAGE

You may seem burried by sunset

The need of the hour is CHARACTER

Well then if its all Trivial bring it all together and follow them.

BLIND

The desire for bottomless pits of the riches in the world turns a blind eye on poverty

The desire for greener pastures turns a blind eye on barren lands left behind

The desire for unbounded power turns a blind eye on all the destruction caused

The desire for lust turns a blind eye on what once was termed love

The desire for success has left individuals drift away from what was once family

The desire for attaining spiritual elevation has lead to the human cosmos wander away from experiencing nirvana

Human desires are limitless and things we see around us would broadly fit any of these

These desires have messed up this world because no one ever derives satisfaction and content

The longer this takes the mess will pile up but

Everyone is BLIND
So who's gonna clear the MESS.

Who the hell composed this?

Times that i will never forget because of this song

-> Friends singing when i walk into the room

-> Go Clubbing but the stunned feeling of "oh no not this song played here also"

-> Friends embarassing me in a hotel in london when it was played

-> Gatherings and meetings well i'm not spared here also

I'm sure there are many more incidents to come and will have to add them in here. :)
This is just the beginning of some haunting, embarassing and moments that cannot be described but one day will look back and laugh about it all for sure.

Coveted Values

Every individual has a MIND of their OWN and more so can be governed by their own CONSCIENCE. So act by it when you believe in it, if you dont have it develop it. Thus its important in my view to believe in certain Values which i personally wished almost every individual believed in.

To elucidate on certain of my DISBELIEFS because this would give an idea on my BELIEFS

1. ADVICING - has to be timely and minimal.
2. GOSSIP - get rid of it and if you cant listen and keep quiet about it.
3 PEEVISHNESS - control it.
4. TIMIDITY - if you lack it, so be it.
5. JEALOUSY - learn to be happy for the other individual.
6. GREED - gotta learn the art of deriving satisfaction and being content with the limitations thrown upon YOU.
7. EGO - gonna be your downfall.

These are like the 7 seas that can be catastrophic to you because its like quick sand and the more you do it, the more your gonna get sucked into moving away from this world.

REFLECTION

Horse - Strength
Dog - Faithful
Cat - Opportunist
Bull - Fearless
These animals bring a lot of meaning to everyone (think about it). At the first thought of these animals this is what they signify to me. We as individuals portray all these characteristics among ourselves - we are like a horse to one, a dog to another, a cat to someone to bother and a bull to a person like a brother. ALL OF US ARE LIKE THIS there are no exceptions and no one is greater than anyone else to this fact

BUT

what really isn't right here in MY OPINION is when the horse or a dog turns into a cat and when the good intentions of THE BULL is never understood. This is because most of us want everyone to be what they were with us all the time and whats more depressing is they dont look within themselves to realize that they themselves have changed colours.

My message: All of us share these qualities but take sometime out to reflect upon what you have been with each other, if things have changed and if so WHY? If there is anything more to this then you have to ask yourself :)

PAINT YOUR PICTURE

The glimpse of some abstract art filled with various colors on a yard long sheet seemed the most frivolous form of art. Trying to make sense of the art I could relate the art to the state of mind of many when they set foot on the only country with an adjective in front of it. Setting foot with various objectives, driven by ambitions life for all has come a long way. Someone set earth on the TIME MACHINE, the future seemed so far a few weeks back and at the blink of the eye its HERE. The point for now is not to look back and see if the ambitions have been met or the objectives have been achieved but what certainly has happened to all of us is we have broken out of a shell to experience the world head on. At the crossroads with each one figuring out what to take on by the fist I’m told everyone only see's the painting of grey on most of the walls but to my eyes its just the reflection of the sky as the clouds clear you will see a different painting.Time for each one of you to paint THE PICTURE (it doesn't have to be perfect) but do it you will get better as you try.
ALL THE BEST

BUDDY its DIRTY DANCING

OH BOY we all learn to LIVE life to the fullest
Still EVERYDAY we wake up
To realize our dreams and hope they do NOT FADE AWAY
The day of fulfillment THAT'll BE THE DAY
When i will RAVE ON, DEAREST

- Buddy Holly

Those HUNGRY EYES desire to freeze it all
They CRY TO ME seeking us to STAY
LOVE IS STRANGE like the HAVANA NIGHTS
LIKE THE WIND we all move on
But i shout out loud to say I'V HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE

- Dirty Dancing

The first two musicals i experienced in london captured some of the best performances of the musicals through the songs that were performed. Wonderful experience.

CAGED

A walk into this room and you ll find many exotic birds chirping around all the time
Boundless and limitless joy when you listen to them everyday
Selfishness creeps in when we want everything that we like
Realization dawns upon me on why should they be caged and they were brought into this world to live life like the way i do
Time has come to let each of them go live their beautiful dream
Before i let them go they would be tagged and tracked
Fly high but at the same time look below
Il always be watching

25 Years YOUNG

The stroke at midnight on the 12th of June when most of the students at LSE were studying, my friends took time of to celebrate what i felt was just another day in the calendar.

The theme of the celebration was "FOOTBALL" something that i am extremely passionate about. The cake was in the shape of a football and was lip smacking. The gifts after cutting the cake poured in like a river on rampage. A collage of memories of all the best pics with the princesses iv known here. Kuti and me on a nice coffee mug what a way to remember my adopted daughter gosh i sound so old. A card which is true to me which says "No Women - No Cry, No Football - Yes Cry" - so true to me. Hilarious stuff. Then comes the agony for me revenge to another where i had to work tediously to open a huge box filled with chocs and each within a newspaper.

It doesnt end there what i consider my best gift and i absolutely love is a t-shirt that i got in two of my favorite colors which says "Single Reddy" good stuff :). Once i wore that t-shirt i was drowned in champagne.

All that i can say is a BIG THANK U and give everyone a BIG HUG for what they have done. The memories i carry forth is priceless.

Thanks a ton

Saare Jahaan Se Accha

Its at HOME where my heart lies.

As much as we have to move forward the richness of the past has to be preserved, its just not history there are things to learn from it and take pride in it.

The drive to move forward with new dreams and aspirations where we believe there is no stopping now, in my view has to be a change driven right from the roots of India. We shouldn't just be the voice of the future but more so the drivers of positive change for the future.

Nice video watch it - 27 min long though but worth it

Desert Scout

Woke up one morning in a new world without realizing how I got there. I was excited about the new world that could be explored. Realized a little later that it was lonely and first set out to find company because I needed some life because thats my oxygen. As I treaded the path of uncertainty I chanced upon other lost souls in the same state of mind and with limitations within each one of us we found others and grew as what we call as family.

Braved the cold, the extreme winters, the scorching summers and through the seasons the bond grew among all of us. Each one of us has seen darkness through the day only to have the character to overcome this and see light. The support shown by one another through the tough times is overwhelming and unforgettable. The hunger to achieve and seek for greener pastures in the endless desert and the desire to overcome some of the mirages we encountered so far in the journey hoping for water has driven all of us so far. Some of us treaded away a little bit and since we quenched our thirst its time we carry some water and see to that the family satisfies their thirst before they get lost and sucked into some quick sand.

Hang on i'am on my way

Drunken Revelry

A walk on the streets of london when the sun sets (well thats when it is around) it is really fascinating to see how the zillions of pubs gets filled up with gazzillions of socialites looking to unwind after a long week. As you struggle through the crowd you would chance upon the most intellectual conversations to the most naive conversations. You would look up to him and think where are your senses.

I fail to understand the "SOCIAL" aspect of alcohol - Do you have to drink alcohol to go out and have fun? As an LSE student im now accustomed to thinking that way :). Does alcohol taste good - HELL NO. A few drinks down there is loss of self contol - "WOW FACTOR" i guess but whats the use i dont see anything WOW about it. The way i see it its left you with a "HUGE HOLE" and you go WOW about it. Its hilarious. You might argue that you forget all your worries when you get the high but to me if you have a mind [That anyways only few have ;)] there s nothing more stronger to overcome whatever bothers you.

Im a firm believer in non alcoholism cause i dont see any benefits to it. Well dont get me wrong i dont hold anything against people drinking "But within a limit" but i wish to seek for answers as to why this is the most sort after revelry world over.

A Night to Remember

A few weeks back when i saw that a friendly match between brazil and sweden at the Emirates Stadium was on general sale a dream was about to be fulfilled. Gathered a group who wanted to experience what its like to watch a match and we booked 8 tickets for the big day. I wasn't really that excited till the the big day, though it was the Arsenal Stadium i wasn't watching an Arsenal match live as yet in the stadium. That day too will come im sure.

The news of Ronaldinihio and Kaka missing the clash din't really spoil the spirits, ev1 were eager and looking forward for it. The 8 of us were supposed to meet at rosebery at 6 in the evening and head to the stadium by around 7 or so. Part of our custom we are always late never the less we have our fun and hold no issues with it. After some minor delays we caught a bus to the stadium at around 7 hoping to be their on time. To our bad luck the bus we took broke down and added to that there was such a huge jam. We decided to walk it instead of waiting for another bus and heading to the place in the chaotic traffic.

Some brisk walking and catching up on some beer and snacks on the way we caught sight of the "BEAUTY" and thats when i really felt my pulse and the excitement. There was the sudden rush of blood and a deep desire within me to run right through as soon as possible. As we entered the stadium the players walked onto the field and the stadium was still filling up at that moment.

The atmosphere was electrifying, we shouted our lungs out, danced to the samba tunes, the mexican waves and we almost brought the stadium down with everyone banging their feet onto the ground in tandem. There were even boo's around the ground for anderson well he came to his rivals stadium he had to face it goes with the game i guess. Pato was the star of the evening. Gave us all the sight to view the first live goal and boy was it a sweet strike and a good finish.

The game though wasn't too competitive it was a worth while experience and has given me a great desire to go back and watch more. The night dint end there had a really long walk in the rain got drenched in it after ages and boy was it great, as i sip on some hot coffee and after relishing some gulab jamuns some advice for those who missed out today "GO EXPERIENCE IT, ITS A GREAT FEELING".

I'm HIGH on life at the moment with a dream brought to life made my evening which im bound to remember for the rest of my life.

Coloured World

If you think the world is beautiful think again. People in South Africa have faced enough of music to the disturbing world of "Apartheid". You can hear the voices crying out for help and wanting to be a part of the society. I call this Bleeding Love and they wait for the days that they can feel the Winds of change.

As people of the outside world we are made to believe that things are better in the western world and as much as they deny there s no racism in their countries we have to take it as a fact that it does exist and do we have to live with it?

I wouldnt want to say anything more but such Disturbing scenes makes you really think - In my opinion "Live life King size" come back to india people we have problems but we know how to live as a community and have RESPECT for other societies.

It brings me to another question are we socially responsible to bring about a change. I believe we are all responsible to bring about this change and see a WORLD COMMUNITY. How do we bring about this change and abolish such inhumane treatments being vented out to individuals. If you are relying on the governments to bring about this change forget about it.

We are the force for the future changes. Be responsible and BE THE DIFFERENCE.

A Day to Forget

I woke up this morning with huge anticipation for the semi final game in the evening against the spurs and i was expecting a good blend of youth and experience for this return leg and it so was to be when i found out later in the evening before the kick off. I did believe we will have a fair chance to win this tie and go through to the finals for the consecutive year.
I met a couple of pals at the Tuns in lse told them about the game and how excited i was. There was this inner confidence of having faith in the team that they would do it. The day in itself was not all that good for me as i got a reject from one company and then later goofed up in my application to another.
From the tuns we moved to rosebery where i was treated to some british dinner where i had boiled potato [which i already look like :)] served with some cold slaw, sausages and salad. It wasnt bad to be honest. A quick easy meal.
Headed to this place close to rosebery to watch the match and boy was i in for the shock of my life. Arsenal lost 5-1 i cant express how disappointed i was to see that score line. In the end we deserved to lose there was no fight to win the game, there was no creativity, loss of ideas to play the brand of football they are known to play. Its a test of character for them to come out stronger next game. Lets c whats in store.
I have no clue why im so passionate about this game, people may say its just a game but i will fail to give you an answer as to why its become a part of me. U might say its madness well yeah may be but it makes me happy, so i dont care. There are few things that are really close to me and this club is. Just felt like writing on my blog today so till next time sayonara :)

WALTON ON THAMES

Suneel and I were invited for lunch by Martin who lived in a small english town called Walton on thames. The invitation to me was very pleasant and it was the first time that I actually travelled out of London during my time here over the past few months. Its quite funny how much i speak about the weather here and the weather on that day helped me enjoy the scenic beauty around the lesser confines of the fast paced world. It was about an hours journey so it was short lived and gives me that eagerness to do some sight seeing in the near future to other parts of the country side.
On arrival we were driven around the town to see some parts of it and were shown the castle of Henry. After a drive past the castle we were taken to a local park and cricket club beside it which was on the banks of the river thames. The houses on the banks of the river were magnificent and would surely be lovely to stay there for a while.
For lunch we had some indian chicken tikka masala and rice and boy was it yum. Had a treat to some nice choc pastries after lunch. The funny part of this trip was the ride on the bike. Well thats a different story will disclose that sometime in the future :) well if u wanna know then u have to meet me in person. It was a beautiful beast 1000 cc and boy would love to own something like that someday.
At the end of the day we all headed back to london like three musketeers and headed to a spanish bar and restaurant and over drinks we debated on various topics and if the US is to be blamed for its influence over world governing bodies like World bank and ILO. It was one of the interesting debates that i have had and will remember this.
I thought that was it for the day but it wasnt to be back home there was another debate on the repression of women in society in india where i didnt debate much on it but i was there listening to some heated conversations over a couple of hours and the heat got to a point in between where even the fire alarm bell went off. We indians surely know how to turn on the heat BUT the alarm wasnt because of us there really was something burning in one of the other kitchens on the floor.
Another eventful and memorable day in the week gone by and the time has come to get back to college for the Lent term and make the best use of it and squeeze the max out of what i can take this term. Lets see how it goes.

Eve and the New Year - 2008

A dark rainy evening lead us all to radhikas door on new years eve. Where about 15 of us gathered to make a full south indian dinner and boy did we have a blast making such an extensive dinner. After dinner we strolled towards the london eye to catch a glimpse of the fireworks.

I couldn't believe what i saw the whole place was packed zillions of people pushing, drunk as always and for a change see the people with happy faces rather than their long grumpy old faces. To our bad luck we were lead to the next bridge to see the fireworks. Waited freaking 2 hours for a 10 min display of smoke. I couldn't believe my eyes that they spent 1.5 million pounds on that. To me that was such a waste of money to display of power. The money could have wisely been used to get some children of the roads for education. Food for the hungry. People might argue its not my problem and we shouldn't worry about it well we are all human and we are collectively responsible to what happens to this world and we together have to bring a change to things that go on.

After that we headed from the crowd to grosvenor n were disappointed cause someone had taken away the speakers and that spoilt our party temporarily. That disappointment lead to sid throwing up. Sympathies to chirag who had to clean that up. There on we all moved to rosebery and boy did we all dance till we dropped dead. Danced to all Indian numbers and did some nice TAPORI dance :). At 5 it was time to call it a night and we all headed home to get some sleep.

I have poor memory and i thought this is a nice way to recap some of my memories in the future. Who would need shilpa shetty we have a duplicate in LSE but personally i prefer seeing Shilpa shetty :). Final dance of the evening Enjoy it Everyone. Im gonna take the risk of getting kicked for it
